Our advice on the current health situation Some large events of over 100 people are being cancelled nationwide but as it stands there is currently no reason to close our lakes due to the type and style of sporting activity that we offer. All of our fishing swims are at least three metres apart and fishing is an ideal sole activity with low risk. You really can’t beat the fresh air, lovely scenery, time to relax and unwind. Should you have a persistent cough or temperature then please be sensible and stay at home. Please be sure to follow regular [...]
Open until 4pm Mon - Sat [NEW FOOD VAN] We've been excited about this one for a while.. We now have a food van on site Monday - Saturdays (soon to be 7 days a week). Tim aka James' Kitchen serves burgers, bacon rolls, breakfasts, hot drinks, cold drinks and chocolate bars all in the beautiful country park scenery. Keep yourselves warm and fed whilst fishing, or why not stop off to have lunch and scout the lakes ready for your next session!? Tim's first day was yesterday and he is already a big hit with some of the [...]
Please note you do not have to be a member to fish. Anyone can still fish Seven Lakes on day tickets available online or on the bank. All good fisheries will limit angling traffic on their venues from time to time, often to protect stocks and lake development and this is exactly why we have to limit our season ticket memberships. Due to popular demand our season tickets are now only available to purchase via a waiting list of which must be signed up to in advance. The way the waiting list works is as follows. Should any of our [...]
Netting on Monday saw a small team of our bailiffs, plus a couple of helpful volunteers gather down at the lakes in anticipation of seeing a net full of fish. Aiming to net a ‘sample’ of lake 5 due to excess brambles and rough margins the netting was a success. Due to news of devastating predation at other local fishing venues we were keen to find out how our stock levels were in lake 5, especially on the smaller side of species as there was plenty of fry seen in the lake last summer. [...]
Top anglers Sash Carp (+ Chris) setting up yesterday on a beautiful morning pre storm in hope of catching something weighty. So far this Jan & Feb it’s not been easy to catch big weights but a trip out is never wasted with the natural delights of a beautiful fishery and setting up and learning the water. We are all really keen to see the stock come on the feed this year and it’s only a matter of time. With stock levels of over 300 Carp over the 3.3 acre lake the lake most certainly isn’t short of potential but [...]
“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Whatmore as ‘fishery assistant’. You can expect to see Steve around the lakes tending to regular water testing and other lake maintenance. We look forward to achieving our future goals as a business and with Steve’s day to day help we will take our fishery to the next level.” – Seven Lakes Management View introduction video Steve Whatmore - Background “My passion with fishing started when I first picked up a rod at the age of 12 and began fishing for trout and various coarse on the local [...]
2019 has been yet another fantastic year of progression for the fishery with some notable highlights to mention. The year started with the netting of 5 of the 7 lakes of which helped us keep up to date with our stocks and assess the lakes moving forward. It really was wonderful to see our heavyweights come out in tip top condition and plenty of smaller fish coming along well. Moving on to May with special guest Julian Cundiff our ‘Family Fishing Fun Day’ saw footfall of over 1000 visitors across the day and not only [...]
With the ongoing investment and plans to take Seven Lakes to the next level of angling, we as a business feel that we need to restructure our ticket prices to support our goals. Having researched other local fisheries we realise that we are still one of the cheapest around and have been for some time, whilst providing a far superior fishing experience across various fishing options.
